The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is closely monitoring developments around an outbreak of respiratory illness caused by a novel (new) coronavirus first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. Chinese authorities identified the new coronavirus, which has resulted in hundreds of confirmed cases in China, including cases outside Wuhan City, with additional cases being identified in a growing number of countries internationally. WHAT IS CORONAVIRUS?

Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that cause illnesses ranging from the common cold to more serious diseases such as such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV), according to the World Health Organization. They can be transmitted from animal to person or infected human to others.

Novel Corona Virus (nCov) is a new strain believed to have originated in a market in Wuhan, China. It has not been previously identified in humans.

HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM CORONAVIRUS?

*With proper Hand hygiene

*Avoid touching your eyes, ears, nose and mouth without proper hand hygiene

*Avoid close contact who has evident respiratory symptoms

*Thoroughly cook meet and eggs

*Practice proper cough etiquette

*Clean and disinfect your work place and home

*Seek immediate medical attention of you suddenly developed flu-like symptoms(especially of you have recently traveled from Wuhan China)
